Ian Larson

General Counsel

Ian Larson is Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of Patriot Growth Insurance Services, LLC (“Patriot”). In this role, Ian is the chief legal advisor for Patriot and has general responsibility for and oversight over all legal, compliance, and governance matters affecting Patriot, its subsidiaries and affiliates, and their respective businesses.

Ian designs and implements strategies to avoid, mitigate, and manage risks in Patriot’s business activities while supporting Patriot’s growth strategies and promoting and protecting Patriot’s interests with a variety of external parties. Ian frequently counsels Patriot’s board, executives, and agency leaders in a wide range of matters, including agency acquisitions and other transactions, regulatory compliance, intellectual property protection, crisis management, organizational policies and procedures, litigation, arrangements with business partners, personnel issues, executive compensation, and equity incentives. Ian also administers the Patriot Growth Charitable Fund, which was organized to support charitable missions in the communities in which Patriot’s agencies operate across the United States. 
 
Prior to joining Patriot, Ian served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel for AssuredPartners, Inc. In his role with AssuredPartners, Ian led the legal function of the internal acquisitions team of AssuredPartners, assisting AssuredPartners in closing over 150 acquisitions during his tenure. Prior to his time with AssuredPartners, Ian was a corporate and transactional attorney with several large law firms.  
 
Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida and a Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law. Ian resides in Tampa, Florida with his wife Merissa and their two daughters Sophia and Elena. Ian spends his free time pursuing athletic endeavors (including golf, cycling, and paddleboarding), coaching his daughters’ flag football and basketball teams, traveling, boating, and rooting for Chicago and Tampa sports teams.
